I Didn’t Move To Arizona

On the plus side, I realized as I bundled up to walk the dogs that I’ve had the same Carharrt traditional blanket-lined coat for almost 20 years now. I love a good product.

 

Christmas Eve

and it’s quiet around the house. Cancelled plans to go out for dinner as this pesky sinus thing of mine isn’t going away in a timely fashion. That works out though, as my lovely wife has offered to prepare homemade chicken marsala which will be as delicious as anything I could get dining out. Then on to presents and relaxing; tomorrow we’ll go down to the shelter and walk dogs *g*.

Now, don’t get me wrong – I agree that there were substantial differences. I don’t always agree with his opinions about how they affected the story (OK with eliminating Bombadil? Heresy…) and I don’t think he goes into quite enough detail, but it’s not a project I’d ever undertake. At least not outside of me head, where I do it EVERY TIME I see one of those hack jobs *g*.

So Dana White did a lovely job  of setting up 4 fights where the new crop of fighters beat old- and middle-guard guys. Way to make a point.

Unfortunately, it’s a good point; younger, better conditioned guys who have trained at all 3 ranges their entire career will beat older guys whose conditioning simply doesn’t hold up. No More Tito Ortiz’s. Welcome the age of the professional MMA fighter in the boxer niche – let’s see if the model is sustainable.
