So, I’m on campus for a couple of days this week and it turns out there are a number of people in the library. It was interesting to see who actually comes in on their own time (classes have been done for 2 weeks or so, finals were last week) and what they do.
Lots of community patrons (we’re an academic library but also serve the local community since we took over the building and collection from a now-closed public library) – that’s to be expected and it’s the usual folks.
There’s more students than I expected and most of them are older, minorities and camping out working for hours at a time.
Lots of college staff members wandering through. Not a faculty member to be seen, though *g*.
