I don’t think so.
PEORIA, Ariz. – Under a new law, patients would be required to be fingerprinted when picking up your medication.
The City of Peoria is considering fingerprinting everyone who picks up prescription pills so that if the customer is suspected of prescription fraud, his or her fingerprints are on file for law enforcement. Police say prescription theft and fraud cases are increasing. When fraudulent or stolen prescription pads turn up, pharmacy staff calls police. Nevertheless, arresting or prosecuting a fraud suspect can be difficult so the city wants to require fingerprints from customers who pick up painkiller medications such as Percocet, Vicodin or Oxycontin.
I would find ANY way to avoid this – it is bad enough that I have to show a driver’s license and sign a form to buy freakin’ Sudafed. Simply ridiculous.
